LMI Aerospace announced a major expansion of its Washington, MO facility and has engaged Washington Engineering & Architecture as the project architect and engineer.
The company will add an additional 35,000 square feet to its plant on Vossbrink Drive in the Heidmann Industrial Park. The cost of the addition and equipment is expected to be about $17.5 million. Washington Engineering & Architecture designed their current 90,000 square foot high-tech building in 2010.
The expansion should result in about 60 new jobs in the next three years. The company employs 150 people currently. LMI employs more than 630 people across five of its locations in Missouri. In total, the company has 22 locations in the United States and three foreign countries.
Construction is expected to begin in the second half of 2016.
